Logo Analysis and Breakdown

Logo Analysis and Breakdown

I always felt that with every design, there should be a name. With that being said, I've went back and revisited my building research and went back into its Japanese culture. The thought of a Japanese household being brought together within the family and having everyone on one centralized space is relevant to what I want to introduce to Anchorage Plaza.

  1. It is impressive to see a development of branding at this level of development. There are whole practices studying the implementation of branding as an integral part of the design process.

This logo can be used as a unifying thread throughout the whole project. To that end, does the logo reinforce your parti and vice versa? This is important to have harmony and not discord between your elements.

Conversely if you are to use the logo as a juxtaposition to your other design approaches, make sure that it is overtly discordant. Either way, your design can only be informed with this added layer of information.

  2. Why not: 微風 ? These 2 hierogliphs could be understood on Japanease and also on Chinese with same meaning. You would attract more people. The Japanese speakers would read it as "Soyokaze" and the Chinese as "Wéifēng". The square shape of the hierogliphs fits very easy in whatever urban environment.
